Niantic is the company who makes Ingress, Pokemon Go, and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. They obviously use the same locations database, at least initially. Is there any other company who is doing this? If someone wanted to make their own Real World location based game, does Niantic have the Monopoly on it?

I know Geocaching is another GPS based game, but its locations are off the beaten path more often.

Are there any others?
